A view of the Alpine Loop

Natural Beauty of Utah County

A Great Place to Live!!

Utah County has a lot to offer—but its most breathtaking sights are provided courtesy of Mother Nature. An array of natural wonders...canyons, gardens, lakes and rivers, caves, waterfalls, and of course mountains—can be found within a few minutes’ drive. Almost every main community in the Valley is nestled near a mountain and a canyon, with other scenic geographic features nearby. In fact, no matter where you are in Utah County, you’re almost certain to be within a 10 or 15 minute drive of at least one of these natural wonders.

Scenic Drives
Some of the most beautiful mountain vistas and fall colors can be seen on paved roads from the comfort of your own car or from the back of your motorcycle. Whatever your pleasure, Utah Valley offers some of the most memorable day trips you'll not soon forget with all the quaking aspens, waterfalls, wildlife and more.......

So Many Ways to Play
Many of Utah County's golf courses offer individual and group instruction. Utah County golf course generally open in the January-March time frame & operate until November (check with specific courses for specified dates of operation). A special golfing offer can be found in the Adventure Passport, a guide to Utah Valley's best activities & destinations.

Utah County is one of the best family vacation destinations offering year round adventure.

Utah vacations start with enjoying the natural beauty and diversity of the Rocky Mountains. Hang gliding, world class fly-fishing, skiing, and dinosaur hunting are just a few of the many outdoor adventures in Utah Valley. Utah vacations also incorporate a modern element of resorts and lodging, museums, performing arts, festivals and much more...

Utah County's golf courses include the nationally-ranked Thanksgiving Point golf course designed by Johnny Miller; it is the largest golf course in the state and was ranked among the top ten new courses in the country by Golf digest. Hobble Creek golf course in Springville has been rated by Golf digest magazine at 4.5 stares ("one of the best values in North America," according to the magazine). Talons Cove Golf club, located in Saratoga Springs, was the site of the 2005 & 2006 Utah Open.

Accessibility: Many sites, such as Hobble Creek Canyon or the Nebo loop, are easily toured by car. Others, such as Cascade Springs and Bridal Veil Falls, are only a short, level walk from parking or roadways. For those who prefer a more vigorous journey to your favorite scenic spot, some sites, such as Timpanogos Cave, require hiking.

Variety: Utah County’s scenic beauty spots showcase the finest that each season has to offer. Visit one site during two different seasons, and you’ll experience two completely different worlds. For instance, the glistening springtime green of the Alpine Loop gives way to the blazing colors of changing leaves in the fall. As an added bonus, many of Utah Valley’s natural beauty sites are accessible year-round.

Proximity: Perhaps the best thing about Utah’s natural wonders is that they’re in good company—most scenic drives and destinations in Utah Valley give visitors the chance to experience several breathtaking sites in one excursion. Timpanogos Cave, for example, is the “pot of gold” at the end of a beautiful drive through the Alpine Loop. Panoramic Deer Creek Reservoir can be viewed along the way to a fun-filled afternoon of sightseeing on the Heber Valley Railroad. In Utah Valley, beautiful views are definitely the rule, not the exception.
